Non destructive Tests

In house Non destructive Testings (Film Radiography, Computer Radiography, PT, UT, Hydrotest, PMI, Ferrite check, Hardness check) are carried out by a personnel qualified to SNT-TC1A and operating in accordance with International Standards and Customers’ demands.

Mechanical Tests

Destructive mechanical, metallographic, corrosion tests are carried out by outside qualified and recognized laboratories. Gieminox products are supplied with certification type 3.1 and PED; under order request, also 3.2 certificates are issued and witnessed by third party like TÜV, APAVE, Lloyds, ABS, DNV etc.
Special testings are carried out according to Customer’s specifications:
• Crack Tip Opening Displacement (CTOD)
• Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC) test
• Sulphide Stress Corrosion Cracking (SSCC) test
• Chloride Stress Corrosion Cracking (CSCC) test
• Toughness Transition curve
